Hi girls. I have HS, and it's terrible. I've had it for 7 years. I started rapidly gaining weight and saw the first sign in my groin area. At the time, I didn't even know I had PCOS or what the hell was going on with all these boils! Yeah, TMI, but the majority are "down there". They are very painful and when they heal, they usually come back later or leave a hole with a black spot around it. I have some on my breasts and armpits as well.
Some have gotten as big as a golfball. I found draining is almost unavoidable. Sometimes I light a the end of a needle on fire and stick it to drain. Sorry, TMI, but it works to drain them so they aren't so damn painful.
My gynie says I have the worst case she's ever seen. It's emotonally and physically draining at times. Not to mention the embaressment of letting a DR se them, and DH. Thank God DH could care less!!!!
