Family situation Married, one teenage son

PCOS symptoms Hirsutism all over!, Periods extremely irregular (longest was 7 months, until doc gave me progesterone), extremely painful and heavy when I do get them, and they come with debilitating migraines, huge weight gain in past year and a half (50+ lbs), TTC for 18 months now, and nada.

Worst thing about PCOS Unable to concieve

Medication used Nothing yet

NHS or Private NHS - they've been putting me off for MONTHS. Doctors at my practice are completely uninterested in trying to help. Was diagnosed in the States, but took no action as my insurance didn't cover medication and I wasn't suffering from any symptoms besides missed periods. Wish I'd been smarter then! Going to go with BUPA now and see if that makes any difference.

Action taken against PCOS Trying to lose weight, replacing unhealthy snacks with fruit and nuts and trying to maintain an exercise regimen, but not going too well as I work 12 hour days!
