I really don't think that you can ovulate and not have a period (unless you are pregnant) You can, however, not have a period for a really long time and then ovulate and get pregnant (that's what happened to me... I had my last period in July 2002, got pregnant with my daughter (born in April 2003)and then didn't have a period and then got pregnant with my son and he was born in November 2004). You can however have anovulatory bleeding, meaning that you bleed without having ovualted first. Hope that helps. Read Taking Charge of your Fertility.
