Hi all,

I'm pretty new - I've been reading through for a while. I'm seeing an endocrinologist who is putting me through A LOT of tests - he says to ensure I don't have a thyroid issue of some kind on top of PCOS. I am going in for fasting glucose/diabetes 'test' on Monday. He said if it showed IR (which he's pretty sure it will) that he will prescribe Met. After hearing all of your stories, I can't wait. I have always been a little heavy but have gained about 25lbs in the last year and do not feel good in general. I exercise 2-3 times a week and follow a reasonable diet and just keep gaining... I am in some fear that I have dubbed Met my 'cure-all' and will be disappointed. I'm just ready to feel better. I'm not currently trying to get pregnant but hope it will be a possibility in the future...
