Question For first-time doctor appts:Tell about self-diagnosis or let doctor do his/her job?

I will have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow. And I guess my question reflects on the fact that I have never beel officially diagnosed with PCOS, just a self-diagnosis with a help of ultrasound, hormone results (all done in Europe, without any mention of PCOS), and other classic symptoms. Also, my medical insurance binds me to the college health center and hence I have limited control over who my family physician/gynecologist is. Plus I am not sure that in this health center doctors know about PCOS, how well they know, etc.

SO, tomorrow, during my appointment, what is a better strategy? Just to tell the symptoms--like 50 days of non-stop bleeding and let the doctor sort out the rest with his own questions, tests, referrals to other types of doctors, OR to honestly say that I suspect having PCOS?

I am inclined to go with the first option because I want to have an American doctor examine me for the first time and see what he/she has to say. Secondly, I am worried that even if the doctor knows about PCOS, he might not know that Cushing's syndrome, thyroid complications might have the same symptoms. SO, I don't want the doctor to use my answer as an easy way out and to potentially endanger me by diagnosing one thing while I have another and require a different treatment.

Please, any advice and opinion would help. Thanks!
