Hello all.
I have been reading in here for the past several weeks off & on (lurking).

My Dr. put me on Met @ 850 mg 2X per day. I was apprehensive at first as I had already read how sick it can make you, plus the Dr. told me it most likely would make me sick for a while.
Well, I decided that once I started taking Met, I would also change my diet to what I thought would be a diet that would help curb some of the side effects of the Met. (which I needed to make changes ANYWAY!) I eat as close to the same time each day for each meal, eat smaller, healthier meals with as little sugary, high carb items as possible. If I eat bread items- I get whole wheat etc...etc... Lots of fruits / veggies, NO "Frankenfoods" & take my meds at the same time each day. I have only had 2 bouts of diarhea & only one time I felt nauseated. I have lost about 5 pounds so far- most of that in the first week. I think much of that was fluid, as my feet had been terribly swollen & I'd had AF for a MONTH solid before that.
While I wouldn't yet classify this as a total success story yet- I would call it a small step of success that I have been able to use Met with very little side effects at all & hopefully will continue to lose more weight.
Wish me luck!

I love reading the success stories here! They help out so much when you feel like giving up!!!
