I used Proactive two years before I was diagnosed with PCOS. It totally cleared up my blackheads and small whiteheads. It did nothing, however, for the red hard painful cystic acne no matter how faithful i was. BUT, once i started my metformin that all changed. For some reason, the regulation of my hormones via metformin helped get rid of the cystic acne. Yet I still had problems with the small white heads. So I started the Proactive again and now my skin is clear and scar free. |
