8.Your favourite movie: Dead Poets' Society is my favorite movie. But Shakespeare in Love and the Graduate are very much favored as well.

11. How old were you when you were diagnosed? Thirteen.
12. What are you taking now? Just BCPs.
13. Does it help? When it feels like it, it seems. My periods are a bit more regular but my cramps, mood swings, and so forth are awful.
14. What have you taken? Metformin. I suppose I just got tired of taking it, when I was still in denial about PCOS. Now I find it difficult to take because I do drink once a week usually.
15. Do you want kids? I feel like I'm the only person in the world with this opinion, but no. I don't want kids.
16. Does anyone else in your family have PCOS? Not that I know of.

19. What state do you live in? I live in Illinois for University and Missouri for holidays/summer.

23. What kind? ( High School, college, etc.) I'm a rising third year/junior at the University of Chicago, studying for an English major with a creative writing minor. I'm studying abroad in London this Fall!

Hi fellow teen cysters (or rather, young adult cysters. I'm not a teen anymore myself)! I'm really fond of school/education/studying/living at the library most of the time, so being back home for the summer is a bit odd to me. But besides reading, writing, and working hard academically (I'm aiming to be a novelist some time in the near future), I'm a geek with makeup application skills.
I'm very much into Japanese anime, Harry Potter, sci-fi/fantasy including but not limited to Firefly, Lord of the Rings, Supernatural, Heroes, etc. I'm also into cosplay/costuming at sci-fi/anime conventions. Otherwise I'm really into makeup application (my traincase is overflowing!). I like fashion as well, but not as much as makeup. I also like various kinds of music, from American rock and pop, to French music, to J-pop and J-rock (Japanese pop and rock).
Otherwise, I'm very much a fan of conditioning and personal training. I've had a personal trainer since I was fourteen and she's like a second mother to me by this point. I try to do an hour of cardio exercise every day and weight training three times a week. I think being active is very important!
Oh, and I love making new friends, especially fellow cysters. I don't have many friends who even try to bother what this PCOS is about, despite the fact I tend to get out my frustrations concerning it in Livejournal. And at the moment I don't have any friends offline who are diagnosed. It can be pretty difficult sometimes, which is why I'm thankful for fellow high school/college aged cysters here!
