Ha! That is so funny...my husband is an "ex" marine, so I know all about hurry up and wait. We had the test and he got sick within 3 minutes of drinking the solution. I felt bad for him because I remember...yuck! The doctor said that if this test doesn't indicate that he has impaired glucose tolerance (which would be a big indicator of insulin resistance he said) than he said he'd give him another much shorter test for the metabolic syndrome. My husband really wants to be on Metformin...but I'm worried its just because of his weight! I want him just to be better because of his risk of heart disease and diabetes! But whatever gets him motivated I guess...
