 NON fasting glucose levels?
I have been feeling awful lately and my dr. did a wellness workup and one of the tests she did was for my glucose levels. I had this test done at 3 in the afternoon and had eaten breakfast, lunch and a snack by this point. My glucose levels were at 81, she said anything between 65 and 110 are considered normal and they are fine. I had never heard of a glucose or insulin test that does not require you to NOT fast before hand...is this accurate or what? I had my insulin levels and glucose tested (fasting) 2 years ago and they were low. Should I ask for a insulin and glucose fasting test or would the results be the same essentially? |
