Soy For Ovualtion WHERE is everyone getting this information about taking soy for O????
WHERE did you get this tip on SOY for ovulation, just curious??? Did an actual DR, thyroid, or fertility specialist recommend it??? I have asked this question many times and NO ONE will answer. And if you direct me to a page at SC where someone suggested using soy for O is the same idea as using Clomid, I would then have to ask where did that original poster get the info from??? I mean if someone told you jumping off a bridge would make you O . . .. . would you do it???? NO, of course not! So where does this info come from???
I only hope for the best for all of us with PCOS AND thyroid disease and hope that those TTC will all get those much desired BFPs. I am by NO MEANS trying to ruffle anyones feathers or upset or even offend anyone about this at all nor am I saying that it doesn't work in any way . . . . I am just wondering WHERE is the scientific evidence to back up this theory - I would love to read all about it and become more informed. All the research I have done on soy states its not so great for female OR male fertility health and anything I've ever read that disputes that has been published by companies that manufacture/produce soy products.
Like the previous posters, I've read lots of info regarding soy & thyroid issues. I was told by my DR to be VERY careful of how much soy I consume which is difficult because it is in so many products on the market today, but I do pretty good at reading labels & avoiding all those products. I even believe that one of the many contributors to having thyroid disease, for myself, is because overconsumming soy all these years.
I hope someone can finally give me concrete proof, actual scientific studies/tests, that soy is indeed good for O induction. I would love to know more about it & would NEVER, myself, take a pure soy product with Hashimoto's disease/Hypothyroidism. NOT on CD 3-7 or CD 5-9 or even one day out of any cycle!!!
Best wishes to all those out there TTC with PCOS & thyroid problems - its tough!!!
