For the ladies asking about proactive while TTC- my dermatologist just put me on duac which also contains benzoyl (sp?) peroxide. She told me that I might have to discontinue it in a couple months when I start TTC because it could be unsafe to take during pregnancy. However, she also said that some of her patients who are ob/gyns actually used it during their pregnancies because they really don't believe that the topical treatment puts the fetus at risk. I know I wouldn't risk it though!
By the way, has anyone had luck with proactive that was unsuccessful with prescription benzoyl treatments? This duac stuff is just not helping at all. My derm prescribed it as a last resort because no topical treatment seems to be helping. |
