Hi Praying - I started the Met at 500mg dose in September 2006 and stayed on that dose for about two weeks then gradually increased to 1000mg, 1500mg, 1700mg and started taking 2000mg by late November 2006 and thats the dose that got me to ovulate on my own. I ovulated in early December 06' but did not get pregnant that cycle. I ovulated again about 22 days after that AF and got my positive PG test January 28th 2007.
So I was on it about 5 months before receiving my BFP.
Believe me, after never ever being able to have a period on my own, I was just plain estatic that in December 06 Met got me to O and then have AF for the first time in probably a decade! NEVER would have even tried to hope for a BFP the very next month!
