I was asked my weight/height when I joined up with Anthem (VA) that's something they didn't do with Horizon when I lived in New Jersey. I know I'm overweight, so I wonder how much extra I'm paying for that, I know I'm paying extra for having pcos!
People have mentioned working at starbucks which is a good idea, I belive any goverment job would also offer great benefits.
You may also want to look into working at a hospital, maybe as a unit secretary - which is mainly answering phones and putting files together. There are a bunch of other types of jobs there, usually they're listed on line, or you can go down there and they're posted on boards near Human Resources. Hospitals offer really great benefits. My fiance is a heart tranplant recipient, he took a job at the hospital purely for their health benefits, the pays pretty terrible to be honest but insurance would cost him over $800 per month but thanks to the health benefits through his job, he only pays about $25 a month (including dental!) Also, if he sees a doctor or has a procedure done in the hospital he works at, there's no co-pay. I'm trying to get a job there myself!
Good luck.
