I saw this posted on Julie's myspace page:

What were you thinking when you found out you had only lost five pounds after sweating it out in the desert for two weeks? I will be honest, I was discouraged. Very discouraged. Because I had followed everything I was told to do and worked so hard, and I got what some would consider unimpressive results. Many contestants made mention on last night's show that "in the real world" a three pound weight loss in a week would be great! But on The Biggest Loser, when everything is ramped up a notch, it was a disappointment. However, one of the unexpected benefits of this show is the outstanding medical care we receive. And as I mentioned, my medical condition of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) both causes a person to gain weight more easily and prevents them from losing it as easily. But, through some of the medical consultation I received on the show, that problem has been addressed and is improving. And in the scope of things, I'd rather lose five pounds than gain five.
