I know how scary a first gyno appointment can be! When I first started having period problems at 16 I had to go and I really didn't want to. I had a great Nurse Practitioner who talked to me a lot before she even did anything and she made me feel totally at ease. Now when I go it's like going to a regular doctors appointment (well...except for the fact that I make SURE I shave my legs!) While at first it will be slightly uncomfortable (the worst part for me was the breast exam, to be honest...) you will get use to it.

Good luck and don't worry too much, it's not that bad. =)
