I was also married when we found out about the PCOS. Over time, it became apparent that he did not like the fact that I had this expensive disorder to care for. I also have felt called to adopt and my husband abruptly decided in March that he no longer wanted children and especially not adopted children. He had no reasoning. I'm a teacher, so children are my life. He also complained about the teaching profession a lot and would never let me talk about my day. He said my field was too liberal for his tastes. Luckily, my new man thinks teachers should be respected and honored for the hard work they do. Plus, he thinks it's neat when someone chooses to teach elementary students because those are the teachers you will always remember. I pray and hope that he can accept my disorder.
