bump. . . down there? So I noticed a tiny (smaller than a pencil eraser) bump near my vagina late last night before I went to sleep.
This morning when I checked it (with a hand mirror) and it *looked* like it might be an infected hair follicle (there were a couple hairs sprouting from it, which I tweezed).
Before I left for work I checked it again and it looked like a dot of pus was where the hair was. So I thought it would just drain on its own.
But now it's hard to sit on it. It doesn't itch, it's just *painful* (it's not even that big!) and it's a little bigger.
I tried, gently, to "pop" it, but nothing came out and it hurt.
I just checked it again and now it looks like an angry whitehead.
I'm hoping it's not like Herpes or anything, I get cold sores but it's not like a cold sore blister at all. I read on here it might be hidradentis suppurativa - I've had a couple big lumps that appear down there that aren't close to the surface of the skin that get kind of painful, but I haven't had one in years and they go away on their own. Is it just an infected follicle that will eventually drain on its' own? What else could it be?
