Happy New Year Everyone!!

Hayles- Congrats!! She's adorable..I'm jealous, I wish I could speed up time to July!

Katiekeen- Of course I don't mind you asking and sorry for the very late reply!! I was on about 2,500 mg of regular metformin for about 8 months and lost approx. 30lbs (I was put on met because I didn't ovulate at all). The doctor then took me off it for about 6-7 months to see how my body would react. I was still on the pill at that time but I guess she just wanted to see if I would keep the weight off....Nope! That's about when I moved to Sydney and my new doctor put me on 1,500mg of Diabex XR. I stayed on that for a month or two before stopping the pill and I got pregnant the first cycle. I think metformin is amazing (for me at least) however I have done a bit of reading and some doctors believe that the best time for a women to try and conceive is when they first come off the pill so I wonder if maybe this had a lot to do with how quickly it happened for me as well. Whatever the case, I do consider myself very lucky. I hope all of my babbling will help in some way and feel free to ask me anything anytime. I hope you get a BFP soon!!!
BTW- I have stayed on metformin so far during this pregnancy (I guess in the hope that it may help prevent a miscarriage) but have just tested positive for gestational diabetes so I don't know what exactly is going to happen next.

Sheree- Wishing you all the best and hope to hear good news soon!

Gina- I hope you are staying cool!
