I was on BCPs for a few years when I was first diagnosed but then asked to be put on something else and have been on met for just over 2 years now. I started on regular met 1000mg/day and I had cycles more frequently than when I was not on met but not every month. After a year of 1000mg/day my dr increased it to met ER 2000mg/day. With the 2000mg I had cycles almost every month but skipped months here and there. Now I have added vitex and all of my cycles have been 29-32 days long. I do not know for sure if I am ovulating every month or not but I would assume so (I have heard of cysters having cycles but not ovulating). I have lost about 15 lbs too...a nice bonus :-) |
