Default first day

I tried out No!No! today on my forearms. They suggest starting with someplace smooth, so I decided to do that. After reading the instructions I used the longer hair blade since the hair on my arms isn't short. I don't have a ton of hair there, but of course I don't care for having as much as I do. I kind of hadn't expected that the smell of the burning hair would bother me, but it actually did. I would suggest that when you use no!no! you do it in a well-ventilated room. Don't shut yourself into a tiny bathroom, which is what I did initially but then I opened the door and window to lessen the smell which helped. Sounds silly but it made me slightly nauseous at first.

Using the no!no! wasn't too hard. It does take a bit of practice to get the hang of the smooth gliding motion to keep the green light on. I had to practice that a bit. I definitely missed some hairs and I didn't try to do the area of my wrist bone since they suggest you practice more before attempting bumpy or bony areas. Overall it went well. It wasn't fast, but I didn't think it took too long. Faster than when I used NADs for sure and probably the same as someone else waxing your arms.

Afterwards I used the buffer to get rid of the hairs which worked fine. It wasn't as abrasive as I expected so I didn't even get more than a tinge red. I stopped with my arms, as I have sensitive skin and I want to see how my skin reacts over the next day or two before I try my legs. Also the hair grows much faster on my legs, so I figured doing my arms a few days prior would be fine and maybe next time I can hit them both at the same time.

If my arms don't react badly I will do my legs and then also probably try (sorry for tmi) my backside since that has a lot of hair that I'm self conscious about. I don't plan to risk it on my face because I use Vaniqa which keeps things under control for me. I'll also try it on my belly and underarms once I get the hang of it.

I'll come back and report.
