I'm not sure what the exact size would be, and it gets really tricky! In Mexico, I bought my school pants and they are a size 36. The sales lady tried to get me to buy a 34. . .I could button and zip them, but I had a definite "muffin top" going on.
I'm a 10 in pants in the US, so my guess would be that a 29 or 30 would be about a size 4, or small so long as Mexican and Peruvian sizes are about the same!
