PCOS symptoms: excess facial hair, weight gain, irregular periods
Worst thing about PCOS: Having to pluck every day and the possibility that I might never become pregnant
Medication:Was on Metformin for 6 months but it wasn't working - only slightly insulin resistant. Now on nothing
NHS or private: NHS - not overly impressed so far and consultant asked me to consider going private for fertility treatment as i'm a 'complex' case
Action taken against PCOS: Healthy eating (reduced sugar and refined carbs intake) and exercise. Had a couple of 20 min reflexology sessions, which really helped me relax and feel better about myself. |
