in answer to the metformin question, i have taken it on and off for about three years now. i have definately had negative side effects. it has always made me nauseated and given me heart burn from the beginning. it also causes big drops in my blood sugars if i'm not careful. i basically decide to take it and get to a point where i can't deal with the side effects so i stop. but i eventually decide to start again to deal with my pcos, and go back and forth. i would LOVE to find an alternative, but this is basically the only option my drs have ever made me aware of. i am so excited to find this site. for the first time in a long time, i feel like there is hope in my battle with pcos.
