Hi... I'm new! I was just diagnosed with PCOS (today in fact) although I have suspected that I've had it for a while. I saw a new doctor today who seems to be on top of things and for the first time in a while, I actually feel hopeful that she can perhaps help me to have a baby (something I've been trying to do for a long time). She put me on 750 mg of Metformin extended release and said to double it after 3 weeks if I tolerate it well... I am actually pretty scared since I've heard horror stories about Met! She also ordered an ultrasound and said we would do either Clomid (did it last year with limited success) or Femara.
So anyway, that's me... my main goal is to get pregnant and have a healthy baby. Apparently I have to work around the PCOS in order to get there! I look forward to learning more and getting to know people who have been through this. |
