Sorry if this is a little long....Ive not taken Demulen; but am on Spiro. I currently take 50mg/day. I take the full dose later in the evening and this is why: Im very sensitive to medications and the Spiro Ive noticed makes me a little dizzy/lightheaded feeling. The diuretic effect is minimal for me so Im not up constantly throughout the night; however I do wake up thirsty so I keep water next to my bed. Make sure you drink plenty of h2o throughout the day! It also makes me feel a little weird but Ive only been on it for a week. I not sure if maybe on higher doses there are more side effects? ie. bathroom and dizziness. On the good side I feel great in the morning and my acne is clearing. I was on YAZ which I hated. Took for 6 months and I swear it made my acne and fatigue worse. It made me feel like a zombie and emotionless as well. I since switched to the Paraguard IUD and have felt like Ive gotten my old self back. So its the IUD and Spiro for me! Hope this helps. |
