Hi Bree, I understand what you are going through. It is very scary to be diagnosed with something that you do not understand and no one in you personal life who has the same issue. I have not heard of PCOS until February. Then to be diagnosed in March.

I have been reading online as well. A lot of stuff says a lot of really scary things I know. But, some say that PCOS is not a big deal. My doctor said that PCOS is nothing to be worried about. I do trust him, he delivered my baby and was wonderful during my prenatal check ups, delivery, and postpartum check up.

I had a fasting insulin test 2 weeks before the confirming diagnosis. Doctor said it was high, but does not think i am diabetic. When I went online and googled Metformin it said for type 2 diabetes and PCOS. I knew he knew I had PCOS.

Make a list of questions for your doctor. Stay calm and keep coming back to Soul Cysters.

Not all PCOS women get diabetes or become infertile. I ordered a bunch of PCOS books from amazon. I am going to do what ever it takes to get control over my body.

Best wishes, let us know hoe the blood test go.

Hugs
