HUGS***When you decide to make the changes, do so slowly so you won't feel punished. when I was first diagnosed as type 2, I jumped in with both feet. I was put on a 1200 to 1400 calorie very balanced diet, walked 3 miles a day and went completely caffine free and I never strayed from my diet....I felt like I was being punished. DH and my kids ate whatever they wanted to eat and I had to closely watch my diet...So, I backed off the strickness of the way I was doing things. My blood sugar is under control and I don't feel like I've been whipped and punished. So start out slow and gradually add things to your plan.
