Wow, I feel really far behind!

Rose – Glad you had a nice trip to Aruba, even though you weren’t feeling well. Sorry your BIL wasn’t more excited about your big news. As for certain foods, I actually crave fruit a lot lately and it tastes SOOO good! The thought of veggies isn’t very appealing, but I’ve actually found that most veggies (minus those bland winter tomatoes we get up here in WI) taste really good too. But the rule of thumb is usually to eat what you can and just *try* to get a balanced diet. It’ll get easier in a few weeks when you hit the 2nd tri.

Shell – Yay for finding the hb on the doppler! It’s amazing how great those can be for peace of mind.

Bobysgirl – Sorry to hear about the headaches. Hope it’s gone soon!

Sheepie – Sorry your hips are so sore! I’d definitely check in with your dr – maybe there’s something you can do to reduce the pressure.

Aturn – Hope the appts go well this week! What is the normal time for delivery of twins? Will they let you go to 40 weeks or do they usually try to deliver them sooner? I hope you don’t have too much longer to go!

Refrain – So sorry to hear about your rough weekend. I’m sorry for the loss of your grandmother. For some reason, the cycle of life hit me harder once I got pg with DS and I became a part of that cycle… I hope you’re doing ok. I’m sorry your mom is putting lots of pressure on you. She’s probably very emotional right now, so it’s hard to say no, but you absolutely need to set your limits and stick to it. The Target incident should be a good reminder that you need to take it easy right now. And OMG about the pg woman hater! You should have knocked on the door until she was done! lol FTR, my SIL & BIL are pg women haters. Actually, your name problem with your BIL sounds like something they would have told us too. And, like you, our situation is pure sibling rivalry. (In fact, we still haven’t told them we’re pg because they were so awful the first time around I just don’t want to deal with it again.) Anyway, I’m sorry the name is such a hot issue. There’s plenty of time for it to blow over – maybe he’ll feel honored instead of cheated, maybe you’ll find a way to compromise, maybe there’s an even better solution out there… But whatever happens, I hope it’s settled with no hard feelings. As for your mom, I can see her POV and being hurt about not passing on the name Ann, but isn’t Lillian a form of Ann? I say that counts!

Evyn – Good choice to keep quiet on the name game. I know so many people who have sealed their lips and not divulged until the baby was born and it drove people crazy! But it’s better than being driven crazy by the whole world giving you their opinion on what you name your child and ruining some names for you. (Oh, I had a dog named Piper once. Ugh, I knew this girl in HS named Annmarie and she was a b*tch – but it’s a nice name! Kieran is not a boy’s name, it’s such a GIRL name. You can’t name your son THAT!) Ugh, it's no fun!

We had a good, but busy weekend. DH was sick all weekend so I tried to take DS out and give DH some quiet time at home. DS had a tumbling class on Sat, then we headed to Target where I dropped a small fortune on who knows what! The weather was crappy so we came home and spent the rest of the day inside. Yesterday we went to “Kidsfest” with my sister and her 4 yo. It was so busy and bright and loud and crazy – talk about sensory overload! But DS and my nephew had fun and it was good to get out of the house. I’m glad it only happens once a year though – whew! I was ready for a nap when I got home!

Last week I had a weird thing with a tightness in my chest. Has anyone else experienced this? I felt like there was a lot of pressure on my upper chest, but I could still take a deep breath and expand my rib cage without it hurting any more than it already did... It went away after about 20 minutes or so. It was so weird. And of course when anything weird like that happens I find myself wondering if it’s serious enough to call the dr or if I should wait and bring it up at the next appt.

Hmm, seems this post got awfully long. Sorry for the novel!
