From what I know it doesn't just go away. Once you have it, you have it. Some doctors claim Weight Loss Surgery cures it but I dont even think that is true. Losing weight is definatley good anyway. The more controlled the diabetes the less likely for long term damage from high sugars.

I am also diabetic and I dont wear a bracelet. I've considered getting one but I am not on any meds so I thought it was more for that. I dont know. Hopefully someone else can answer that for both of us lol!
