Default Fight!

I don't know if I should even be replying because it's a case of "practice what you preach" but here it is....

I get the same way.. I have a treadmill and when I got it I walked on it everyday after work and before supper. ( If you excercise before you eat your body uses the calories right away instead of them turning into fat)
I was doing great, walking at least a mile, eventually 2 miles, doing weight watchers-unofficially( I didn't go to the meetings) and eating the real portion size. Low carb works of course for us cysters but I find it extremely hard to stick with so I have given up on that, however I do watch how much starchy foods I eat.
Anyway, what happened? I didn't do it one night because I pulled a 12 hour shift at work and that was the end!
For me, once I'm on a routine I'm good but if I miss just 1 day-I'm done.
When I feel like cheating though, I usually fight through it. Do something else to get your mind off of what your craving. You have to experiment and be realistic.. If you love pasta and bread, then don't deny yourself. Buy whole wheat pasta and whole grain bread.
You will find your mojo..
Find a diet or excercise buddy. It's harder to make an excuse not to go when theres someone else to go with you! Grab a friend and go for a walk- you'll talk to much you won't even realize how long you've walked. Plan a route and do it until it's cake. Then re-route so your walk is longer. Don't try to do too much all at once.
I tend to be long winded so I will end there.
I hope that helps.
