I wear a medical alert bracelet and have since I was dx. When I was first dx, I was controlled with diet and exercise. My A1C kept climbing, so I was sent to see and endo. He put me on met, then added byetta and then levemir. I wear a bracelet that says I am type 2, what I am allergic to and an emergency phone number to call. its good to wear one in case you pass out people will know what to do to help you.
