I would definitely call the doc and have them change the coding. Basic bloodtests should be covered, especially when they are testing things thyroid, metabolic panels, etc. If your doctor checked hormonal levels, then the office might have entered "infertility" type codes, which most companies won't pay for. I have medicare through a crappy Advantage plan, and the docs are really good about making sure that nothing relates to fertility, but instead "obesity" and "hirsutism" and such.
