My Mood: Points: 1,492.21 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,492.21 | Hi again, I recently changed doctors b/c my old doctor wouldn't return my phonecalls. I was having a period that lasted 18 days Needless to say I wasn't happy. She was the first to figure out what was wrong with me and I will be forever grateful, but many of my friends have been telling me she doesn't really listen/return calls, and pushes my way or the high way when it comes to meds. So I found a Catholic doctor almost an hour from my home. I got there and the receptionist was so rude to me I almost left, but I'm really glad I didn't because the nurse was one of the nicest nurses I've ever met, she actually didn't broadcast my situation for everyone to hear which was really nice, I told her I couldn't look at the scale b/c I might cry (LOL), and she asked me all kinds of stuff my other doctor never bothered to ask. Then the doctor came in and gave me 4 options... I didn't even know I had options. We decided to try natural progesterone (to help my periods become regular), increase my metformin from 1,000 mg a day to 1,500. He actually made a follow up appointment (my old doc never made one in almost a year). Overall I really felt like he cared which was a really nice feeling. I will be going back to see him for a long time I think. The best part… I lost 10 pounds in a little over a month! I had no idea it was that much, it was a really good day, in fact I don’t think I’ve ever left a doctors office that happy. |
