Default Will losing weight help if already thin?

Hi Cysters,

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and my DH and I are TTC for 6 months now. I am at a healthy weight, 125lbs 5'6" and my only PCOS symptoms are irregular menstrual cycles, lots of cysts, and an elevated free testosterone. I am currently taking metformin extended release. The metformin increased my SHBG which decreased my overall free T. Should I also try to lose 5% of my body weight? Do I still have insulin issues even if I am not currently struggling with obesity? All of the books I read seem to be targeted to women who are struggling with obesity, does the advice apply to me as well?

Thanks!
Rebecca
