i'm on my second month of it right now, and i'm switching pills once i finish this cycle (next week, thank god). the first month i took it, i bled for nearly the entire month with HORRIBLE cramps (the kind that wake you up in the middle of the night) and crazy clotting (i was convinced i was having a miscarriage)...i've had crazy mood swings and i'm usually a very easygoing person...and my skin is AWFUL! way worse than it's ever been.
i talked to my gyno about it and he said that for some women, the low dose of hormones in yaz is TOO low, and apparently i fall into that category. a lot of women seem to like it, and more power to them, but it is definitely NOT for me.
i'm switching to ortho-tricyclen next month, and i'm really hoping it will give me lighter periods and better skin (all of which yaz promised but did not deliver! haha) |
