I knew about it well before being diagnosed but had to fight my GP for getting tested and a diagnosis. Then i saw a different one and he knew quite a lot, although from this website i could comfortably say i am better informed than my GP in that sense.
It does need to be put out there more, but because of the symptoms being embarrassing people just don't seem to want to talk about it.
I couldn't imagine getting up in front of a lot of people and talking about the fact that I'm hairier than some men!
