When I met my wife (in college), she was significantly smaller than she is now (she weighed right around 120# back then). She stayed at that weight until about a year before we got married, and then steadily gained weight each year after that.
She worked out like crazy, watched what she ate, but the best she was able to do was "stall" the weight gain for a while. Over a 10 year period she gained almost 60 pounds.
I love her more now than I did back then, and wouldn't take ANY of the experiences back, or any of the changes.
It wasn't until two years ago that she was diagnosed with PCOS. After fighting with her doctors for years, they finally sent us to a fertility specialist - he diagnosed her before he even did the ultrasound.
There are more twists and turns to our story (good, bad, and ugly), but I'll save that for another post...
