I can't really help, but I want to assure you that you're not alone! I'm the same age as you, and I'm in the midst of making an appointment out there with the same lady doctor as you (I think her name was Dr. Keefe, or something?)
And I'm also nervous about it, since I've spent the last 14 years trying one doctor after another, just to be told "here, take these birth control pills", or "it's just stress", or my personal favorite "you wouldn't have any of these problems if you weren't so fat".
But everything I've heard about the Pope Paul Institute sounds really good! Very encouraging! They sent me a letter saying that they want to run a bunch of tests on me, and when I explained that I haven't even been able to get a pap smear for the past few years (because I really, REALLY have a lot of pain with them), they said that I could have the tests done under general anesthesia. So, that's encouraging to me!!
