Hey! Welcome!
A lot of people do get the side effects from Met but there are some who tolerate it pretty well. It made me nauseous which subsided once I started taking it with a meal. It also caused stomach cramping and some other...uh...nasty bathroom issues. If that happens to you just carry some immodium and/or some pepto and that'll help a lot.
As for the test every month...I'm not sure. I didn't/haven't had them every month. I used to have my bloodwork done every 6 mos. I had the initial bloodwork done and then 6mos later they retested to make sure things were more balanced & then I had it done again 6mos after that to monitor. I haven't been tested for anything in a loooong time though. I'm actually requesting next week that my doctor do more bloodwork since I haven't been checked for anything in years.
The Met definitely helped me drop weight. Once I became more active (I started eating MUCH better and taking kickboxing 2-3 times a week) the weight melted off. I went from 193 to about 145-150 in less than 9 months. |
