Amber--maybe that's why your picture reminded me so much of myself--our babies are the wrong direction! I'm so sorry you're so upset about it. I was at first too, but I've had a while to get used to it.

My doctor has told me a few things about babies being breech. 1. They can still flip, even if it doesn't seem like there's room. He said a lot of times he's scheduled a c-section and on the day the mom comes in, the baby has magically flipped and all he does is induce (I think he said 70-80% of the time, but I think that's a little high, although I have NO knowledge on it at all!).
2. He said to drink AS MUCH liquid as I can in order to increase the amniotic fluid as much as possible to give the baby the best chance to flip on its own. He told me this at last week's appt and I drowned myself and nothing happened, though, so I don't know how well that'll work.
3. Manually flipping. He said that it's up to me if I want to try it. If it works and he can flip her, he tied a belt around the waist and we immediately go to induce me so there's no time for the baby to flip again.
I think that's all my dr had to say about it. If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

My brother's roommate is a nurse and he said that babies respond to light, so you can try shining a flashlight down there and it sometimes gets the baby to flip. I have NO idea if that is remotely true, but he's a nurse, so I don't think he's completely making it up!

I think I've also heard of people laying upside down to try and flip them (like those pens with the liquid in them that you turn upside down and the hula girl goes from the top to the bottom...)

But I'm glad despite that the baby is healthy...

Aturn--yeah for softening!
