My insurance company covers the generic 100 percent, so I don't pay anything for it. And even if you don't have prescription coverage, it's only $4 - $6 per month.
The Met/Clomid combo worked for me (I got pregnant on my first cycle of that). I am only at 1000 mg per day, and that has worked well for me, and has regulated my cycles.
