I was given it as a treatment first too, but then there was a clot scare so I was switched to something else.
Since you've been taking it, have your blood tests and symptoms resolved any? I would hope your dr. had you tested periodically to see if the testorone and the FSH:LH ratios improved or if you are IR - if that improved? Why not request another round of bloodwork including glucose/insulin testing?
If you are IR and have been being treated for a couple of years with no success, it might be worth investigating things further and maybe trying metformin.
If you don't have a lot of symptoms - extra hair where you don't want it, thinning hair where you do, acne, insulin resistance, acanothis nigrecans, you're probably being treated fine. |
