One of the biggest issues with being hypo is that typical docs treat the patients based on a range of numbers, not on symptoms. My numbers have been in the 4 or 5 range while I am on medication for hypothyroid, I am tired as hell, and docs say, "You're fine! You're in great health!" Crazy.
Like SouthernGal said - Be your own advocate!
I know you are probably too exhausted to want be your own advocate - but please don't waste years of your life feeling horrible. I lost 10+ years listening to doctors tell me I was fine, when I wasn't. Believe in yourself. | Ditto all of this! |
