Points: 4,777.46 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,777.46 | Just diagnosed: Currently a Thin Sister...wanting to STAY that way! Hey ya'll I was just diagnosed with PCOS. I have had irregular periods for a while and this past year and half I had gained about 10 lbs. I am currently 5'7" and 142. I was tested once in high school and was border line (my rations for fsh and lh was 3:1)...but I went on birth control and that was that. I have always been around 130-135 ish. I went off of birth control last feb. and have had one period since then. So I decided to go back to the Dr. So far all of my tests came back pretty normal (my insulin was 6..which is really low). Anyway, my main question is that, I realize I am relatively thin right now...but I really want to stay that way!!! I work out 4-5 times a week (run and weight train). I also have a low carb diet. What else can I do to be sure my weight doesn't go up (and maybe to loose that 10 I put on...) Any suggestions? When I went to the dr. she really freaked me out b/c she basically said that people with pcos are always overweight...which is NOT what I wanted to hear b/c im such a health freak. Should I still go on Metform? or should I just go back on Birth Control? Just looking for some advice! |
