Kris - I know how you feel. I am pg after a loss and I am IR. Before getting pg, I watched what I ate very carefully - low gi, complex carbs, etc. Now, though, the extreme nausea has made sprite my best friend. I worry about it too, but my dr said that everything is ok in moderation, and I am continuing to take Met to help lower the IR.
So you're definitely not alone. And yes, taking Met makes a HUGE difference in lowering your m/c rate, so you are on the right path with that. I know it is hard, but try to take it day by day and not worry about every bite that you eat. Of course, this coming from me after I've had a carb-binge today at a bridal shower (and felt guilty about it right afterwards).
