 Metformin and liver enzymes?
i was in the ER last night and was made aware that my liver enzymes are slightly elevated.. now i dont have liver disease or hepatitis so this frightened me.. because i dont know why they would be elevated.. so i did some research and found out metformin and cause this.. now im not positive that this is what it is from but this is 99% the reason why imho.. so what do i do?? and has anyone ever heard of this before?? i have only been on metformin since march i am on about 1500mg but i dont always take that dose. My AST is 39 (H) and my ALT is 82 (H) so yeah i am definitly alarmed.. what do you ladies think?
