I thought I'd have a shot at her referring me to an ob/gyn because of the PCOS but considering I never even made it past the desk clerk when I called, I don't know how my PCM feels about it yet!
Is it wrong of me to not really want a PCM managing my PCOS? I mean, am I being a little paranoid or overreacting? (I do have a tendancy to do that!!) I guess I'd just rather have someone who specializes in those specific organs and the conditions they have. | Be sneaky. Tell your PCM that you want to see an OB for your well woman's exam. You don't have to tell them about PCOS if you still haven't been diagnosed. (I'm sorry I forgot if you actually had been diagnosed yet.) But like I said, in my experience working with doctors many don't mind at all referring to an obgyn. I work for an Internal Medicine guy and we refer people out all the time.
