Back when my husband was military we had TriCare Prime and I called them up and had my PCM changed to someone we got referrals for instead of the a** I was originally assigned to. The customer services people are pretty helpful. That was when we were in NY and when we were in IL, the clinic there didn't do ob/gyn stuff so luckily I had to go out to someone in the community and not military for the care I wanted. Unfortunately, still what I thought to be sub-par care, but that is the military for ya.
Even the doctor I liked refused to put me on Met -- I'd done the research myself and thought it was the best route -- and continued the bcp which I didn't want to be on but if that was the ONLY thing she was offering I was in a tight spot to do anything else.
I hope you have better luck finding the care you want within the military medical system, and hopefully the cust. service people with TriCare can help you out.
Good Luck!
