Rose – Yay for spilling the beans at work! How’d your office mate react? We’re not going to find out the gender this time. We didn’t last time either and it was really fun to have the extra surprise. Last time I was sure it was a boy and it was. This time I’m not sure – part of me thinks girl, though. I don’t really care either way. A girl would be great cuz I’d get to do all the mother-daughter things and so far there are 4 grandsons in my family and no granddaughters. A boy would be great cuz the two kids would be like my sister and I were growing up - close in age and the best of friends. Plus I already have a bunch of boy clothes and toys. So either way I’ll be a happy mama!

CaliGirl – You’ll do great as a mom! It’s true, you learn a lot on the fly, but the Mommy Board (and the Thin Moms thread I'm sure) are a great resource any time you need info or a little emotional support. That’s so nice of your coworkers to throw you another shower! Congrats on the c/s date! As a June baby myself, I think you made an excellent decision!

Refrain – I love the pg dog analogy! lol Are you close to biting anyone’s hand off? I hope you're feeling better soon. Maybe you'll get that burst of energy soon!

Sheepie – Cute belly pic! I am almost as big as you already - yikes!

Aturnbg – I’m glad to hear they took you off the meds. I really hope you’re able to bake the babies another week or so without having to be admitted. Good luck this weekend – take it easy and try to relax!

Heidi – Early contractions (esp BH) don’t hurt, they feel just like Refrain explained, a tightening and then releasing. Once you’re in active labor the contractions get stronger and more painful and they feel like AF cramps but they’re not just low, they’re across your whole baby belly. They feel like a wave of tightness/pain - start out small, then get stronger, then peak, and finally fade away. But it’s not sharp pain, it’s more like an ache that gets progressively more intense as labor goes on. By the end of my labor I was in a lot of pain – it was a constant feeling instead of a wave, and that’s when the meds are really handy! LOL

Evyn – I’m sorry the NP made you feel like a worry wart. I’m always afraid I’m going to be referred to as one of “those patients”. I hope your OB is more understanding. What a cute belly pic on your blog! Your baby must have found a secret hiding place or something.

Bobbysgirl – Sorry to hear you have a headache today. Hope you’re feeling better this weekend!

Jen – How’s life with your little girl? Is she 6 weeks now? Do you feel like you’re getting into a groove?

Codi – Good luck at the u/s this afternoon. Hopefully it’ll set your mind at ease about the spotting. If it makes you feel better, pap spotting can be from where they scraped the cells and not necessarily have anything to do with affecting the pregnancy.

Not much to report on my end. I keep looking at my belly wondering if it's just me or if it really is getting big. Some days I think it's cute, some days I think it's ginormous for this stage! Oh well, there's not much I can do about it.

My friend gave me her bella band the other day so I'm planning to try it out this weekend and see if it works for me. I'm still fitting into my regular pants, but they're definitely getting tight.
